Residents of Benidorm were surprised to find a parked car on the Poniente Beach, stuck in the sand on May 12.
The Mercedes-Benz A200d was fined and towed by the Local Police once discovered in the broad daylight, as reported by multiple witnesses.
Benidorm Local Police reported the incident on their Facebook account, stating that even though Benidorm beaches can be “tempting”, this was a step taken too far for the driver.
It is unclear who the owner of the car is or what their reasons were for parking on the sand, and although the Local Police treated the situation with humour, they made a reminder to the citizens about the 3,383 free parking spaces in Benidorm´s Poniente area and beyond.
