San Juan festivity in Javea

Starting at sunset on June 23 but celebrated throughout the month, San Juan Fiesta is one of the largest Spanish festivities during the summer.

This summer, visitors and residents of Javea will unite to celebrate the Spanish saint in a festive programme for the 75th time in history. 

June 7 

9pm Parade of the Youth Commission and Children s Court of Honour from the Plaza de la Iglesia to the Plaza de la Constitucion. 

9.30pm Proclamation of the Children´s Queen.

June 8 

9.30pm parade of the Quinta 2024 “A Cabassaes” with the mayor, Rosa Cardona, following the same route as on June 7. 

10pm Proclamation of the Queen. 

June 9 

8.30pm Parade following the Plaza de la Iglesia Plaza de la Constitucion route.

9am Presentation of the presidents and Queens of the past 75 years of San Juan celebrations.

June 13 

8pm Parade of the Court of Honour, Ladies and Queens, from the Plaza Marina Alta to the Plaza de la Iglesia.

10.30pm Sopar de cabasset meal and drinks in the Plaza de la Constitucion.

12am Singing in honour of San Juan, followed by discomovil in the Plaza de la Constitucion until 3am. 

June 14

10.30pm Concert night featuring Arsenic, Xavi Sarrio, The Yets and DJ Cate until 4am in the Plaza de la Constitucion. 

June 15 

8am Desperta with rocket shootings. 

10am BBQ at the bull enclosure. 

7pm Monaco Party Show Orchestra with DJs in the Plaza de la Consitucion. 

June 17

10pm Paella contest in Avenida Palmela with a €100 prize and live music by Glop Esponja until 3am. 

June 18 

10pm A Journey Through Music performance at the Church Square.

12.30am Discomovil in the bullfighting area until 3am.

June 20 

2pm Giant paella for the public at the Montaner Park.

8pm The Kingdom of the Lion musical at the Plaza de la Constitucion.

June 21

11am Local Court of Honour, Ladies and Queens parade at the historic centre.

7.30 Flower offerings to San Juan at the Plaza de la Iglesia. 

June 22
9.30am Childrens´ desperta from the Plaza de la Iglesia to the Plaza de la Constitucion. People are welcomed to join with their own music instruments.

10am Childrens´ playground at the Plaza de la Constitucion 

11am Parade of the past presidents and Queens of the festival. 

12pm Mass in honour of San Juan. 

1.30pm Macarronada meal for children at the Montaner Park.  

7.30pm Flower offering at the Church Square, followed by Anniversary Dinner at 10pm. 

12am Macaco concert at the Plaza de Constitucion. 

June 23 

10am Rocket shootings.

11.30am Offerings, parades and ninots at the Plaza de Constitucion.  

7.30pm Floats with the festival´s representatives.

10.30pm Nit Dels Focs de Sant Juan, night bonfires.

June 24 

9.30am Desperta with firecrackers in the Historic Centre,

10am Mass at the square of Xatina in the Fregional area.

10.30 Parade of the Court of Honour, Ladies, Queens and Presidents 

12.30pm Solemn mass at the Sant Bertomeu Church.

7.30pm Parade of the floats

11pm Titanic Orchestra at the Plaza de Constitucion followed by fireworks.

Note that this is not the full programme, as events including bullfighting have been omitted.
